Botox is injected into your facial muscles which will affect and block the transmitters between the motor nerves that innervate your muscles. Once the motor nerve ends, the muscles are no longer able to contract which stops wrinkles from forming.
You will notice that your skin will start to smooth out three to ten days after your treatment. The effects should last about three to four months. At that time, we can perform another Botox injection.
Periodontitis focuses on the treatment of gummy smiles, TMJ & related symptoms, atypical facial pain & jawline reshaping using therapeutic Botox treatments.
Juvederm, Voluma, Vobella, Radiesse, or Belotero can be used to plump up the skin in order to provide a subtle lift and make the face look younger.
BOTOX® has also been known to give people relief from TMJ pain or other symptoms of TMJ. We inject it into the facial muscles that are afflicted with soreness and discomfort. It helps with not only the pain but also the jaw tension. It is often very helpful for headaches, especially those caused by people grinding their teeth or clenching their jaws when they are stressed. It can also help with lockjaw too.
