Here at ADS Orthodontics, we are proud to offer dental cleanings to our patients.
We recommend routine dental cleanings for several reasons. When we perform professional cleaning, we remove the buildup of plaque and tartar. We also clean the parts of your teeth that are hard to reach such as underneath your gums.
After a cleaning, we will polish your teeth so that they shine! If needed, we will apply fluoride to your teeth. We will also preserve any artificial teeth (or teeth that have been restored).
After your cleaning, we will do a thorough examination so that we can see how your teeth are doing. We will look around to make sure you don’t have any problems that need to be taken care of. It is our goal to catch any problems and fix them before they become bigger ones. We will also go over home care if you need to change anything you are doing..

Effective Dental Cleaning at Home
Good dental hygiene at home is essential throughout life. There are billion of bacteria living inside our mouth at any given time.Incorporating the following activities into your daily routine should keep bacteria buildup to a minimum and remove food particles that could lead to stains, tooth decay, and bad breath:
- Brushing and cleaning your teeth at least twice every day.
- Avoiding sugary snacks,junk food and sweets.
- Flossing your teeth every day.
- Eating fresh food and following proper & balanced diet.
- Drinking plenty of fluoridated water with meals.
- Using dental products containing fluoride, such as a toothpaste or rinse.
Through proper oral hygiene at home and regular professional checkups, you should be able to reduce the time spent at the dentist office, as well as the risk of needing treatment with a dental crown or bridge.
